Steve Bishop has spent 35 years in enterprise technology - the first ten as a network and data solutions architect working with federal agencies and Fortune 500 companies, and the last 25 building the companies that deliver it.

In 2001, he co-founded Veristor with partners Ashby Lincoln, Murray Granger, and Jim Glueckert and grew it into a nine-figure enterprise technology company with more than a hundred employees and offices across the Southeast - earning ten consecutive Inc. 500/5000 rankings along the way. He co-founded Forty8Fifty Labs and helped create one of the top Atlassian practices in the world. As CTO of Verinext - the PE-backed consolidation of Veristor, Anexinet, Light Networks, and SereneIT - he led technology strategy and a world-class solutions architecture team across an organization of 350 employees approaching half a billion dollars in annual revenue, ranked in the top 100 of the CRN Solution Provider 500. Across all three companies, the teams earned 30+ Partner of the Year awards from Atlassian, VMware, HPE, Commvault, Cloudflare, and others.

He stepped away at the end of 2024 to rest, refocus, and invest in family and personal projects. MastLight Ventures followed in 2026.

Outside of work, Steve has been married to his wife Mic for 27 years and has two adult children. A former pilot and skydiving instructor, he's now an avid sailor, an SSI Master Scuba Diver, an adventure motorcyclist and snowboarder, and a mediocre musician.
